Preparation
HFC-32 can be made by fluoridation reaction between Dichloromethane and hydrofluoric acid
Application
1) HFC-32 is used as a component of azeotropic blend such as R-407a (with 20% HFC-32), R-407b (with 10% HFC-32), R-407c (with 23% HFC-32), R-410a (with 50% HFC-32), and R-410b (with 45% HFC-32)
2) Also used in plasma etching of silicon layers.
