Preparation

RC-318 is produced by the dimerization of tetrafluoroethylene and the reductive coupling of 1,2-dichloro-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane.

Application

RC-318 is used as propellant in food industry, refrigerant, cleaning agent, dielectic (mixture with SF6); media of polymerization of fluorine-contained polymers; raw mateial for etchant of IC.
