Preparation
Industrally, it is manufactured by fermentation process of corn starch.
Application
Gluconic acidis applied as acidity regulator in food industry; used in cleaning products where disslove minerals deposists by chelating calcium, magnesium, aluminum, iron ions. etc. It is a biodegradable chelating agent (sequestrant) using to clean steel/glass bottle, pipe-line, etc
